BRDI has been making constant efforts in technical innovation to meet requirements of the clients in durability, safety, serviceability, cost-effectiveness and aesthetics. All these efforts and achievements are recognized by international authorities. BRDI has set more than 10 world records in various types of bridges,e.g. Wuhan Tianxingzhou Yangtze River Bridge has the largest span and  the largest loading capacity among its type in the world. This bridge was awarded Georges Richardson Medal in International Bridge Conference in 2010 and the FIDIC Centenary Award in 2013.Taizhou Yangtze River Bridge, the first triple-pylon large span suspension bridge, was awarded Outstanding Structure Award by International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering in 2013, the Supreme Award for Structural Engineering Excellence by Institution of Structural Engineers, UK, and the FIDIC Award  of Merit in 2014. Nanjing Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge, the first six-track high-speed railway bridge in the world, won Georges Richardson Medal in International Bridge Conference in 2012. BRDI has won National Award for Progress in Science and Technology, the highest accolade in science and technology innovation in China for 21 times.
