BRDI owes Grade A qualifications in the consultancy, survey and supervision of railway, highway and municipal bridges. Up to now, BRDI has taken part in more than 1000 large or extra-large bridge projects including 60 Yangtze River bridges, 30 Yellow River bridges and 30 cross-sea bridges. Projects participated by BRDI are throughout China and other foreign countries or regions. Typical bridges include Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge which is the first bridge over the Yangtze River; Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge which was awarded the Special Prize of the National Award for Progress in Science and Technology; Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge which is the first rail-cum-road cable-stayed bridge; Nanjing Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge which is the first six-track high-speed railway bridge and the Donghai Bridge/ East China Sea Bridge which is the cross-sea bridge in China.
