Located in the east of Wuhan, this railway is derived from Beijing-Guangzhou Railway at the east of south Shekou Station, which spans Shekou River, crosses Huangpi District Wutongkou, Xinzhou District Yangluo Xianglu Mountain, and runs through Shuangliu Town, Linsifang, spans Jushui River and enters Tuanfeng County, Huanggang City, runs through Qinjiagang, and spans Daqing-Guangzhou Highway, and Beijing-Kowloon Railway, then it meets Huangzhou Station, which has a total length of 80.64km. It is a national Level I railway that has been invested with 4.18 billion RMB.
