Sichuan-Tibet Railway Ya’an Station

Ya’an is an origin of the tea culture all over the world. It is the starting point of Tea-Horse Road and the Tibetan tea production base with the longest history and the largest yield. The design focuses on the theme of “tea”, which is lively and rhythmic. On two sides of the entrance hall, the design is in the rising tea leaf shape, which presents the beautiful wish of introducing Ya’an to the world as “an origin of tea”. The roof is evolved from traditional local residential house, which looks gorgeous and comfortable. The base is built in thick and heavy shape to reflect the stable, concise, and gorgeous modern transport building image. With exquisite details, the station conveys the traditional elements of facade lines, edges, and windows in an abstract way, forming distinctive local characteristics.
