Yichang-Wanzhou Railway Wanzhou Yangtze River Bridge Survey



The shallow seismic section prospecting, directional core drilling, digital panoramic borehole camera testing, double-pipe single-pneumatic reverse circulation and core drilling by shell-like sampling tube, in-situ rock testing and other new technologies and new methods were employed in the Yangtze River, which acquired reliable data. Sarma method was employed to compute and analyze the rock stability in the main pier and the slopes and edges on two sides of the bridge. Analogy graphic method was adopted to predict the reconstruction of edges and banks, and suggestions were proposed to offer reliable geological basis for the design and construction of the bridge.
