Yibin Jinsha River Bridge



It is a rail-cum-road arch bridge with the largest span in the world, which is composed by four-track railway and six-lane highway. With a total length of 1973m, the main span is (116+120+336+120+116)m. The bridge, which will be a landmark of Yibin after the completion, is double-deck structure with 4-track high-speed railway above and 6-lane highway below. The distance between two decks is 30m. The designed speed of railway is 250km/h. The bridge has unique and novel structure with the arch system made by upper, middle and lower loading. It is rare in the world to have trains running above and cars running below.
