Cable-stayed bridge

Macao Sai Van Bridge

It is the double-deck concrete bridge with the largest span in the world so far, which adopted double-deck double-main-girder structure. There is a dual 6-lane highway in the upper-deck and a dual 4-lane highway in the lower-deck with box structure. Normal traffic can be guaranteed when there is a hurricane. Within the bridge there is space reserved for light rail, which is the first bridge that allows transportation inside and outside the prestressed girder in the world. The ultra-large vibration-reduction and vibration-isolation rubber bearing has a diameter of 132cm and bearing capacity of 1300 tons, breaking the world record. The unique “M” tower wins it the title of “new landmark” of Macao. In 2007, the bridge won the Second Prize of National Awards for Progress in Science and Technology.
