Cable-stayed bridge

Wuxi Ronghu Bridge

It is the first single-pylon cable-stayed bridge in Jiangsu Province, which is located in the intersection of the old and new Grand Canal. As a main channel for Wuxi transport network, it is the “west gate” which connects Nanjing-Hangzhou Expressway, Wuxi-Yichang Expressway and Wuxi-Jiangyin Expressway. The construction of this bridge has greatly improved the traffic conditions of Wuxi and enhanced its ability to radiate other cities and drive the development of northern Wuxi and the Canal Landscape Area. The main bridge is as long as 220m and main span is 145m with dual 6-lane. The construction was commenced on December 20, 2002. On December 20, 2003, it was open to traffic.
