It is the triple-pylon suspension bridge with the largest span in the world, which has been a breakthrough to construct 1000m span on this type of bridge. The total length of the project is 62.088km, which was constructed by the standards of dual 6-lane highway with a total investment of 9.37 billion RMB. The bridge is a 2×1080m triple-pylon double-span suspension bridge with steel box girders, which is the first application in the world. In 2013, it was the first domestic project that won British Outstanding Structure Engineering Award. In 2014, it was honored Outstanding Structure Engineering Award by International Bridge Association.
