With a total length of 4812m, the main bridge is 1520m long with the span of 235m. The bridge was designed by the standards of urban expressway, which has a width of 70m for the road and 42m for the bridge. It is the first suspension bridge with independent pylon and independent anchor in Fuzhou. The shape of pylon followed the traditional gate tower, which is as tall as 142m.
