Wanzhou Yangtze River



It is the railway arch bridge with the largest span all over the world, which is the key cross-river engineering connecting Yichang-Wanzhou Railway and Dazhou-Wanzhou Railway. Located by the end of Wanzhou urban area in Three Gorges reservoir area, it has a total length of 1106.3m. The main bridge adopted triple-span single-arch continuous truss girder structure, which is as long as (168+360+168)m. The main span is a 360m reinforcing arch and flexible girder steel truss arch. The spans on two sides are the truss girders while the central span is steel truss arch with reinforcing arch and flexible girder. The highest pier reaches 80m, which is an empty pier with thin walls. 5m above the bearing platform is solid section.
